Istria Peninsula: A picturesque peninsula located in the North Adriatic Sea. Umag is a charming town in the northwest corner of Istria, Croatia. Umag dates back to the Roman times and it can be seen in the narrow cobblestone streets, town walls, and Roman ruins. The town and surrounding beaches offer crystal clear water over pebbles and rocks. The town and surrounding beaches are authentic and uncrowded. For outdoor enthusiasts, you can cycle, hike, sail, swim in this stunning area.

A highlight is Polynesia Beach, known for its natural surroundings. It’s off the beaten path, but easily accessible. Here you can enjoy crystal clear water over rocks and pebbles and beach cafes and bars. However the coolest experience is the Sipar Archaeological Site. They are Roman ruins accessible during low tide by a footpath on a land bridge. The ruins are not widely advertised and therefore extremely uncrowded. Some families enjoy swimming or floating out to the ruins during high tides. Once on the site, you are welcome to roam around and explore this fascinating area!
