Evora

Evora, Portugal is a city Rich in history and culture. It is one of the most well-preserved medieval cities in Europe and is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains Roman ruins on beautiful narrow streets. A highlight of the town includes The Roman Temple of Evora dating back to the 1st century AD. 
About thirty minutes from the town you’ll find Almendres Cromlech, a Megalithic complex. It contains one of the largest groups of menhirs (standing stones) in Europe. The constructions of these structures dates back to the 6th millennium BC and is simply fascinating to see. It is free cost and free of crowds.

Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal is a along the lesser traveled Alentejo Coast of Portugal and has a large sandy beach with tide pools for children to play inside. The cliff side town above the sandy beach is filled with authentic local restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shops, and a few local craft shops. The Sunsets over the ocean are spectacular. In addition to the beach, Zambujeira has fantastic eco hiking trails, the most famous is the Rota Vicentina. Located along scenic cliffs, they range in length and difficulty offering something for everyone. It is a section of a multi-day hiking journey.
